BIOMARKERS THROUGH CONSORTIUM
The Sarcopenia Definitions and Outcomes Consortium, funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (fNIH), is a project to develop diagnostic criteria for sarcopenia in both the clinical and research settings. The project builds upon the Sarcopenia 1 Project, which developed initial sarcopenia criteria for predicting physical disability and clinically meaningful outcomes to patients. This Aging in Motion (AIM) Coalition webinar provided the preliminary results of the Sarcopenia Definitions and Outcomes Consortium, ahead of the Consensus Conference of the Consortium on October 2.
